Bio/Photo
I play piano and organ. Write music with bands, other songwriters, or on my own. Perform primarily in New York City. I also enjoy teaching lessons, working with a choral group at the Hope Of Israel Senior Center in the Bronx, and playing organ and directing the choir at Bethel Temple Church. I make recordings and mix them at home, and do some work for non-profit organizations like Manna House Workshops.
My playing and compositions are featured on several CD's, including my own jazz trio recording Ground Level(2001), the convertible jennifers debut album Despite What I Told Her(2004), and the first and second albums of the hip hop/soul group the Alter Egos. An album with Likeness To Lily and another CD under my own name should be arriving early in 2008.
I have composed incidental music for two plays, an off-Broadway production of Saint Joan(2003) and the Boston premier of Our Lady of 121st Street(2004), directed by my talented brother, Paul Melone.
